Vintage French Stone Marten Taxidermy Mount on Shield

Vintage stone marten taxidermy mount – ‘Martes foina’

This charming stone marten was professionally mounted in France and displays wonderfully natural, lifelike features. The taxidermist has captured the animal in a natural standing pose upon a branch, mounted on a shield-shaped wooden plaque. Its detailed posture and expressive appearance give the mount plenty of character.

This little chap deserves a good home where he can be admired and appreciated! He would make a distinctive decorative piece in a country house, hunting lodge, cabin or cabinet of curiosities. And of course, he makes an excellent guard pet — although I cannot promise he’ll be much help against intruders!

The marten remains in good vintage condition, showing authentic signs of age and wear. Please note that both ears show some damage. Kindly examine the photographs for a closer look at the overall condition.
