    Vintage Badger Taxidermy Mount

    €350.00

Vintage badger taxidermy mount – ‘Meles meles’

This charming female badger was professionally mounted in the Netherlands and displays beautifully natural and lifelike characteristics. The taxidermist did an excellent job capturing the animal in a natural looking position, standing upon a solid piece of tree trunk. The detailed pose and expression give the mount a wonderful sense of character.

This old lady deserves a nice home where he can be admired and appreciated! She would make a wonderful and unusual decorative piece, whether displayed in a country home, hunting lodge, cabin, or cabinet of curiosities. And of course, she makes an excellent guard pet – although I cannot guarantee she’ll be much help against intruders!

The badger remains in good vintage condition and shows authentic signs of age and wear. There was a small tear to the inside of the left hind leg, which has been carefully stitched and is now barely noticeable. Please see the photographs for the overall condition.

Antique Early 1900s Swiss Walking Stick

    €195.00

Antique early 1900s Swiss folk art mountain cane

This unique antique walking cane was traditionally handmade in Switzerland and features a distinctive handle crafted from chamois horn, decorated with a small piece of chamois hide and a hoof. The shaft is made from natural thorn wood, giving the cane a wonderfully rustic and organic appearance.

The shaft is marked “Rigi-Kulm”, referring to the summit area of Mount Rigi in central Switzerland. This marking provides an interesting connection to the cane’s Alpine origin and suggests that it may have been made or sold as a souvenir for visitors to the mountain.

The cane can still be used as a stylish walking stick, but would also make a wonderful addition to a collection of antique walking sticks, Swiss Alpine memorabilia, or a cabinet of curiosities. With its natural materials and distinctly rustic character, it would also make an interesting decorative object in a lodge or country interior.

After more than a century, the cane remains in worn antique condition and shows authentic signs of age and use. Over time, the wood and horn have developed a rich natural patina that adds considerably to its character and charm. • Vintage 60s 1960s British Press Photo Picture Journalism News Paper Dinosaur Prehistory Frame Decor Gift

Vintage 60s British Press Photo Dinosaur

    €75.00

    Vintage 70s original press photograph

This original vintage press photograph was taken by British journalist and photographer Bill Zygmant and distributed by Rex Features Ltd. in London. The reverse bears the original Rex Features copyright stamp, together with the instruction “Please credit Bill Zygmant”, confirming the photographer’s credit.
Shot on black-and-white film, the photograph captures a remarkable scene from 1973: the transportation of a gigantic model dinosaur, a Cetiosaurus, on its way to a new prehistoric theme park in Aviemore, Scotland.

The enormous dinosaur model was created by British model maker Alan Ross and measured approximately 5 metres (16.4 ft) high and 14 metres (46 ft) long. Due to its extraordinary size, transporting the model through the streets was no ordinary undertaking. The operation required careful planning, traffic control and police guidance, turning the journey itself into quite a spectacle.

The photograph beautifully captures the sheer scale of the dinosaur in relation to the surrounding vehicles, buildings and people, giving a wonderful sense of just how extraordinary this sight must have been at the time. It is a fascinating snapshot of both 1970s Britain and the imaginative world of prehistoric attractions that fascinated the public during the period.

With its striking black-and-white imagery, unusual subject and strong sense of scale, this original press photograph would make a stylish and characterful addition to a vintage interior, study, office, or collection of natural-history and dinosaur memorabilia.

After more than 50 years, the photograph remains in good vintage condition, with authentic signs of age and handling. There is some visible wear along the left edge of the photograph, consistent with its age and history as an original press image.
