Antique 1920 French Folk Art Painting of an Arabic Scene

Antique 1920 French folk art oil painting

This unique oil painting was made in France in 1920 on a wooden panel. Painted in a charming folk art style, it depicts a desert scene with three Muslim men praying, accompanied by a camel. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right corner: V. Leducq, 1920.

The reverse of the panel is fitted with a hanging hook, allowing the piece to be easily displayed on a wall.

With its evocative subject and naive charm, this little painting would make a distinctive addition to a classic, eclectic or bohemian interior, or to a collection of folk art.

After more than a century, the painting remains in good antique condition, showing authentic signs of age and use. Over the decades, it has developed a lovely patina that only adds to its character and appeal.
